About Dr. Julie
As a young gymnast Dr. Sieben suffered a low back injury that forced her to discontinue her passion, gymnastics, and caused concern for a future athletic endeavors. It was with the help of chiropractic, physical rehabilitation, yoga and a positive attitude that Dr. Sieben is now able to be a runner, cycler and general fitness junkie who has also completed several Olympic distance triathlons, marathons, half-marathons, 5K and 10K races. Most recently Dr. Sieben has started competing in Womans Figure Competitions.
Julie Sieben D.C., earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from New York Chiropractic College and her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science/Human Performance and Fitness from the University of Massachusetts at Boston. In addition to traditional chiropractic techniques including soft tissue manipulation, physical rehabilitation and manipulation, Dr. Sieben is proficient in A.R.T. (Active Release Technique©) and Graston technique©. A.R.T and Graston are powerful soft tissue techniques that help to eliminate or reduce musculoskeletal pain and chronic injury. These techniques are essential for keeping athletes active and healthy and invaluable to anyone subject to daily stressors of life and work.
Dr. Julie started her career in healthcare working in cardiac rehab and has been a group exercise instructor, yoga instructor and personal trainer for the last 12 years. She travels nationally and internationally as a “trainer of the trainers” teaching the seminars that certify personal trainers and aerobic instructors. She is nationally certified/trained to teach Yoga, PiYo© (a funky fusion of yoga and pilates), yoga for kids, TurboKick© and kickboxing. She also is the author and creator of program Six Weeks to Loving Running ©, which has been featured at ECA Fitness Conference in Miami and published in American Fitness Magazine.
Dr. Julie is also one of the few Chiropractors credentialed at a major medical center and is a staff Chiropractor at Brigham and Womens Hospital.
